Path to the Future: Global Warming & Climate Change Talks

Stephanie Kodish, Senior Director and Counsel for the National Parks Conservative Association's Clean Air Program, will present "From the Paris Agreement to the Green New Deal: Climate Change Realities, Challenges, and Solutions" on Sunday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center. This event is free and open to the public.

From the Paris Agreement to the Green New Deal, climate change is a trendy but overwhelming topic. Addressing climate change will require many solutions, and luckily nearly all of these solutions exist today.

National parks don’t exist in a vacuum, and like communities, parks are affected by air pollution and climate change in adverse ways. Temperatures in national parks are warming twice as fast as the rest of the country, threatening the existence of namesake features at Glacier, Joshua Tree and Saguaro National Parks. Kodish will discuss recent studies on climate change impacts at national parks, as well as examine the administration’s efforts to roll back environmental safeguards and solutions to protect our parks and communities.

If you are interested in learning more about climate change impacts and policies and how you can stand up to protect national parks, communities and our planet, we hope you will join us for this presentation!

This lecture is part of the KJA’s Path to the Future Jewish Lecture Series which focuses on aspects of climate change.
