COME NOSH AT KNOSHVILLE: A JEWISH FOOD, ART & CULTURE FESTIVAL

The 7th annual Knoshville: A Jewish Food Festival brings together all Jewish community organizations in the Knoxville and Oak Ridge area to share a variety of Jewish-themed cuisine with our greater community. The event’s name is a play on the Yiddish word “nosh,” which means to snack or nibble.

The event will be hosted at Arnstein Jewish Community Center on April 14 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

This one-day event provides a flavor of Jewish and Israeli food and culture. Visitors will have an opportunity to taste a wide variety of traditional Jewish and Israeli foods from sweet noshes such as Bundt cakes and hamantaschen to savory noshes like challah and knishes. Come for the food and stay to wander the Judaica shop, watch Israeli dancing, listen to children sing Jewish songs, and play in the Kid Zone.

Free parking and a shuttle service will be available at 6616 Deane Hill Drive and at the Bearden Branch Library at 100 Golf Club Road. Accessible parking will be available at Arnstein Jewish Community Center at 6800 Deane Hill Drive.

Tickets for food, drinks, Kid Zone wristbands, and Hebrew Tennessee t-shirts can be purchased in advance online or at the event. Admission is free; the suggested ticket purchase is $15 per person, and cash and card are accepted at the event. Checks will be accepted for Bundt cake sales.

The entire community is invited to attend and nosh! (RAIN OR SHINE.)

Please note: In respect of kashrut, the kosher Jewish dietary laws and traditions, no meat or poultry items will be available at this event. Dairy, fish and vegetarian items and some gluten-free items will be available.
