Knoxville Jewish Anti-Racist “Media Club” (a bi-montly series)
Our Knoxville Jewish Community is invited to join together every other month for a loosely facilitated conversation around a different racial justice topic, followed by potential action steps we can take individually and as a community. This series builds off of the fall workshop ("Being an Anti-Racist Jew") coordinated by the Sharing the Dream initiative. Much like a book club, each session will focus on a particular topic and offer an opportunity to discuss what we have “read.” However, because we all have different abilities, needs, ways of absorbing information, etc., we'll be providing a variety of media formats (movies, articles, podcasts, etc) with similar information for you to access in advance.
Session #1: Thursday, Jan. 28th, 7-8:30pm EST
Topic: Voter Suppression
Our first January 28th "media club” will focus on voter suppression. You'll receive the list of media to read, watch and/or listen to in advance once you've registered at http://bit.ly/knoxmediaclub.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. We hope you'll join the club.
