Arnstein Jewish Community Center Community Garden
Do you have a green thumb? Would you like to help with the community garden?
This winter, we are planting seeds at home to grow our vegetable plants and flowers for planting in the community garden. Starting seeds indoors before they are planted duringthe outdoor growing season gives some plants a head start to ensure greater yield. You can start seeds in almost any type of container as long as it is at least 2-3” deep and has some drainage holes. Produce from the garden is donated to organizations which distribute it to those in need including Susannah's House and Family Promise. Consider being a part of this tzedakah project!
If you would like to grow some seeds at home to be planted in our garden, please contact us at email@example.com.
The creation of the garden was supported by grants to the Knoxville Jewish Alliance from two Knoxville Jewish Community Family of Funds donor-advised funds: The Natalie and Mitchell Robinson Community Enrichment Fund and the Pat and Gene Rosenberg Fund.
