The Early Childhood Program is certified by the Tennessee Department of Human Services and meets the licensing requirements for daycare centers. Since the inception of the "star" program, the AJCC has achieved and maintained a THREE STAR (highest) rating.
Operating Schedule
Core Program
The core program hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may drop your child off at 8:30 a.m., and pick up at 3:30 p.m. This 30-minute "grace period" is not to be exceeded. If your child is dropped off prior to 8:30 a.m., or picked up after 3:30 p.m., you will be charged for extended care.
Extended Care Program Times
Before Care: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 8:30 am
After Care: Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Extended Care Fees
Extended Care is charged in hour increments of $8.00 per hour.
Extended Care Package
Monthly Extended Care costs are listed on the fee chart that accompanies the registration form. The preschool offers two different packages to accommodate individual family needs. Below you will find a listing of the packages that are offered. If using Extended Care on an as-needed basis you must give the Director 24-hours advance notice so that we are staffed adequately.
Silver Plan- 10 Hours of Extended Care Per Week
Gold Plan- All Available Hours of Extended Care Per Week
Staff
The AJCC Preschool staff is selected carefully. They serve as appropriate role models for children. Each classroom has caregivers with a degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or closely related field, or a high school degree and experience with young children. All staff members participate in ongoing professional development. Supervision for all staff is provided by the Early Childhood Director.

Prices
The AJCC Preschool is a non-profit agency and relies on payment of tuition and fees for operating expenses. Tuition is based on an annual fee. Please refer to the registration form or call us for detailed information.
The AJCC Preschool offers a discount off the standard fees for families with more than one child attending the program.
The AJCC Preschool has adopted a policy and procedure regarding fee adjustments for preschool tuition, camp, vacation program expenses, membership dues and other program fees. Applications for fee adjustments are available in the AJCC office. All requests must be made in writing and will be kept strictly confidential.
