Please join us for this month’s Friendshippers program.  The Friendshippers group gets together once a month for lunch and entertainment.  Friendshippers is open to all—we don’t check IDs at the door!

 

Wednesday, February 13: A Jewish Musical Recital by Catherine Greer

​Catherine Greer will present a vocal recital featuring Jewish liturgical music and art song.

 

A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Catherine is a former member of the Knoxville Opera Studio and a current PhD Candidate at the University of Tennessee in German Studies. Catherine is also a former member of the Temple Beth El choir and specializes in music composed during the Holocaust.

 

The thirty-minute recital will feature works in Hebrew, Yiddish, and German by Maurice Ravel, Max Helfman, Stephen Richards, Viktor Ullmann, Max Janowski, Carlo Taube, Lazar Weiner, and Rosalie Gerut, among others.
