1955 JCC Varsity Basketball Squad

In the spring of 1955, the Jewish Community Center’s varsity basketball squad won the Knoxville Church League Championship, with a 20-3 season, and reached the semi-finals of the Southern Appalachian tournament.

Neal Busch, son of the late George and Rose Busch of Knoxville, lives in Atlanta.  Rodney Wolf, of Memphis, is the brother of Knoxville’s Barry Wolf.  Lou Woolf lives in Knoxville.  Larry Morrison was a brother of the late Douglas Morrison and cousin of Knoxville’s Mary Linda Schwarzbart.  David Weinstein, of Memphis, is the brother of the late Sanford Weinstein and uncle of Knoxville’s Douglas and Jeff Weinstein.
